National EMS Week 2012 "EMS - More than a Job. A Calling"
By Member Kim Jones
May 11, 2012
Emergency Medical Services Week always falls on the third full week of the month of May. In 2012, it will be held from Sunday, May 20 through Saturday, May 26, with Wednesday, May 23 designated as EMS for Children Day, a day when EMS services are encouraged to promote safety and activities and information for Children.
The goal of EMS Week is to bring together communities and medical personnel to publicize safety, educate the public about their local EMS system, and to honor the dedication of those who provide day-to-day lifesaving services on medicine's front line.
Please help us honor those dedicated professionals this week by saying "Thank you" when you see them.
