This week is the National Public Safety Telecommunications Week, please join us in thanking and recognizing our 911 Dispatchers, also known as Public Safety Telecommunicators this week. These public safety professionals are the unsung heroes who are never seen but are always there behind the scenes 24 hours a day to take your call. They are responsible for responding to 911 emergency calls , dispatching Calvert County Sheriff's Department deputies, fire, rescue and EMS personnel to various emergencies as well as rendering life-saving assistance/instructions to callers. Thank you for all you do for the citizens of Calvert County as well as the county's first responders.
