Join Dr. Panagis Galiatsatos for a CME designed to train healthcare professionals how to apply a sophisticated scientific knowledge base, related to tobacco dependence management, to your practice.

Date: Wednesday, May 10, 2023
Time: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Dinner served at 5:30 p.m. followed by 60 minutes of education and 30 minutes reserved for questions/discussion.
Place: CHMC, Classrooms 1 and 2

Though this CME, providers will learn to:
1. Characterize the changes in neurophysiology that lead to dependent behaviors
2. Characterize the behavioral manifestations of ambivalence
3. Understand how smoking topography and cigarette pharmacology contribute to tobacco dependence
4. Review current pharmacological therapy for tobacco dependence and the evidence that supports their usage
5. Learn how to approach motivational interviewing for tobacco dependence

This CME is open to all healthcare professionals. Presented by CalvertHealth Cancer Center, a Duke Health Affiliate in Cancer and the Calvert County Health Department. Paid for by Maryland Cigarette Restitution Fund.
