On March 8, 2024, the Calvert Career and Technology Academy Fire Sciences Cadets, immersed themselves in a comprehensive extrication training session hosted at the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department. This dynamic collaboration provided a unique opportunity for hands-on learning of vehicle extrication, a critical aspect of emergency response.

Guided by experienced instructors, the cadets navigated simulated emergencies, applying their knowledge of tools, equipment, and teamwork to overcome challenges. From assessing the scene to executing extrication procedures, every step emphasized the importance of precision, communication, and adaptability in high-pressure situations.

By actively engaging in this extrication training, the cadets fortified their skills and confidence, poised to respond effectively to real-world emergencies. As future leaders in fire, rescue, and EMS, these cadets exemplify the commitment to excellence that defines Calvert County's Fire-Rescue-EMS Volunteers.
