the Maryland Fire Service Personnel Qualifications Board will be accepting applications for 'Previous Edition Certifications'.

Under this program older versions of training programs that were approved for certification to previous editions of NFPA Standards will be accepted for applicable levels of National Pro Board Certification (does not include IFSAC certifications). This is NOT 'Grandfathering'.

What does this mean for you? If you have been told your old training courses such as Haz Mat Operations, Fire Officer I, etc. are no longer eligible for certification, this may be your opportunity to apply for and receive Pro Board Certifications without taking the current courses or upgrading your old training through equivalency testing.

For available titles and editions see the applications posted on the MFRI website. Other titles and editions will follow as available.
