The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners recognized Communications Assistant Chief Stanley Harris as the 2020 Employee of the Year.

Stanley manages one of the most critical and stressful divisions in Calvert County Government, Emergency Communications. He consistently implements new morale-boosting ideas within this division to maintain his critically-important personnel. Stanley is also at the forefront of the new 800 MHz radio system upgrade. Additionally, since the COVID-19 outbreak, Stanley has taken on the role of Emergency Operations Command Commander along with his normal job duties. He moves seamlessly between both roles, while still making time to help others. Stanley is always courteous when interacting with employees, vendors, other agencies and the public. Calvert County is fortunate to have Stanley at the helm during this global pandemic. Congratulations on your award, Stanley!
